March 2023 has been confirmed as the official release date for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. As a sequel to the critically acclaimed 2019 video game Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Survivor will further chronicle Cal Kestis’s galactic expedition. Several recurring characters from the original game will also appear in the sequel. The release date was momentarily displayed on Steam, a popular digital distribution platform for video games developed by Valve. Subsequently, the information was deleted, and the current release date indicates “Coming Soon.” Electronic Arts (EA), the game’s publisher, has not yet provided a statement regarding the release date.

Release Date Of March 2023 Is Plausible, Per EA’s Statement

While EA has not officially announced the release date of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, they have stated that a significant exclusive will be released during their fourth fiscal quarter. This spans from January 1 to March 31, 2023, so Steam‘s rumored release date corresponds perfectly. With a provisional release date of 2023 and no additional details or specifics, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was first announced in May of this year.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor To Be Set Five Years Later

In June 2022, a cinematic teaser for the game was published; however, it still needs to incorporate tangible gameplay footage. The game is purportedly set five years after the occurrences in the original installment, Fallen Order. The game will be developed for PCs and current-generation consoles, but the exact specifications will be revealed later. Cal’s next move is questioned in the teaser by an Imperial Senator in a voiceover while they are seen opening a crate containing Cal’s lightsaber. Those who have played the first game will recall that Cal obtained a lightsaber with two blades. Therefore, displaying a lightsaber with a single blade this time around adds intrigue to the situation. During the five-year leap, Cal reverted to using a lightsaber with a single blade.

A figure is depicted in a stasis tank in the teaser, with only their left arm visible. There are rumors that this individual is the last Jedi to have survived the Clone Wars; they were placed in a stasis tank, and Cal may have forgotten which ones to rescue in the game. Either that or this is the same figure depicted in the teaser combating Cal while wielding a crimson saber and acting with the opposite hand. They could introduce the game’s initial Sith character if it develops in this manner. According to tinfoil hat hypotheses, the character could be anyone in the game.
